Privacy Policy
Effective Date: September 9, 2026
HERA, also known as The HER Association (“HERA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), respects the privacy of the people who visit HERAssociation.com and the women and businesses represented through the HERA directory.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, what information may be made public, and the choices available to you.
Please note: HERA does not sell personal information.
1. Information You Provide to HERA
We collect information that you choose to provide when you interact with HERA.
This may include information submitted when you:

Depending on what you are contacting us about, this information may include your name, email address, phone number, business name, professional information, trade or business category, location or service area, website, social media links, photographs, and other information you choose to provide.
2. HERA Directory Information
HERA operates a public national directory featuring women working in skilled trades and eligible women-owned trade and trade-related businesses.
Information intended for a public directory profile may include:
- professional or business name;
- provider or owner name, where applicable;
- trade, specialty, or business category;
- description of services, products, or work;
- city, state, service area, or other business location information;
- business phone number;
- business email address;
- website;
- approved social media links;
- photographs or portfolio images; and
- other professional or business information submitted or approved for publication.
HERA is designed to publish business-facing information, not private personal information simply because someone becomes a member or appears in the directory. The HERA master plan specifically requires the public directory to use approved business information and provide a process for members to correct, update, or request removal of their information.
Because the directory is public, information published on a HERA profile may be viewed by anyone and may also be indexed by search engines.
Please do not submit information for public display that you do not want made publicly available.

We do not give unrelated third parties private member information simply because someone wants access to it.
9. Public Information Is Different From Private Information
Information intentionally published in the HERA directory is public.
That means information such as a business name, business phone number, professional email address, website, service area, or other approved profile information may be viewed, copied, linked to, or indexed outside HERA once it is publicly available.
HERA may prohibit scraping, harvesting, harassment, impersonation, misuse, or abusive use of directory information through its Terms of Use and other policies. However, no public website can guarantee that publicly displayed information will never be copied by another person.
If a HERA member has a safety or privacy concern involving her directory profile, she should contact us at getlisted@HERAssociation.com.

We may need to verify that a person requesting a significant change or removal is authorized to act for the profile or business involved.
Removal from HERA does not necessarily cause information already indexed, cached, copied, or published by unrelated third parties or search engines to disappear immediately.
11. Data Retention
HERA keeps information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to operate the directory, respond to requests, maintain appropriate records, protect the website and our members, resolve disputes, or comply with legal obligations.
Public directory information may remain available while a listing remains active.
When information is no longer reasonably necessary, HERA may delete, anonymize, or otherwise dispose of it as appropriate.
12. Security
HERA takes reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information in our possession from unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
However, no website, email system, database, or method of electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Please use care when deciding what information to send electronically.
